| Anna Paquin was born in New Zealand and raised in Canada. She is a Canadian New Zealander actress who has appeared in films such as The Piano The Piano, Fly Away Home, X-Men. The actress had no intention of become an actress but fate chose to change her mind. In the wake of the popularity of Jane Eyre, a variety of opportunities were presented to her. However she chose not to pursue them, in order for her focus on studies. After her debut film was a success aged 14 she was approached for roles in Jane Eyreand the series Fly Away Homefilm. In 2000 she played Rogue, the formidable mutant Roguein the XMen films series. The role she took on catapulted to international fame. In X2 and X-Men the Last Stand, she reprised the role of Rogue.
